How Legit handles your information

1. What we collect. The details you type into the chat (business name, owners, addresses), the fields we extract from your ID photo, your email for receipts and vault access, and payment status from Stripe. We never see or store your card details — payments happen on Stripe's secure pages.

2. Your ID photo. ID photos are uploaded encrypted to private storage and auto-deleted after 30 days. We keep only the extracted details needed for your forms (legal name, date of birth, address).

3. Your documents. The documents we generate for you (Articles of Organization, Operating Agreement, walkthroughs, checklists) live in your personal vault and are re-downloadable as long as you keep your access link.

4. What we don't do. We don't sell your personal information. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't send marketing email — the only email we send is your receipt and formation-related updates you asked for.

5. Analytics. We keep aggregate, anonymized usage statistics (which states are popular, where people drop off) to improve the product.

6. Your rights. Email [email protected] to request a copy or deletion of your data. Deleting your account data removes your vault access too — download your documents first.

7. Security. All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). ID photos are encrypted at rest. Access to your session requires your private session token — don't share your vault link.
